To help women and their children live lives free of domestic violence and identify/acquire the skills necessary to be self sufficient and good nurturers.
Vision Statement
To prevent future family/domestic violence and eradicate existing family and domestic violence.

Local Statistics

Coastal Women’s Shelter serves Craven, Jones
and Pamlico counties.

Within the tri-county area over the past year:

* Over 3,319 Crisis Line calls were taken.

* Over 3,196 people received client assistance including housing, food, employment assistance, child care, and legal referrals.

* Over 1,031 people were assisted by
CWS Court Advocates.

* Over 90 women and children
resided in the safe house.

* Over 233 support groups were provided within the tri-county area.
