Court Advocacy and Assistance: The goal of the advocacy program is to inform clients about their options and to help them through an individualized self-guided plan that is safe and effective for their future. We help navigate through the often-complex legal and court system to accompany clients as they seek domestic violence orders of protection.  Our advocates help clients find resources from community and government agencies to working with law enforcement finding the best solutions to secure their safety.

Safe House: Our shelter, located in a quiet residential neighborhood, provides a safe haven from violence and a place to heal from domestic and sexual violence. Individuals who stay at the house have a welcoming place to plan for their future. Our staff members help clients create plans to find housing and employment.  They also receive guidance in developing positive child/parent interaction. All of our services are tailored to the specific needs of each safe house resident.

Domestic & Sexual Violence Support Groups: This group provides survivors with the opportunity to share their experiences and learn strategies to overcome trauma by talking with others with similar backgrounds. The group is free of charge. It is open to anyone who has experienced domestic and sexual violence. Please see our current support groups instituted here.

Community Awareness and Education: Through speaking engagements, teaching opportunities, distributing literature to local agencies, fundraising events, and collaboration with other community organizations, we seek to increase our knowledge base and understanding of the causes and effects of domestic and sexual violence on people in our market. This initiative is to increase awareness of the availability of our services throughout our community.

New Beginnings Program: The New Beginnings Program is to provide a safe place where survivors feeling empowered can guide their path to building skills, resiliency, and to strengthen protective factors against future abuse. Included in this program is resources for survivors to learn life skills and become aware of career development course of action for women and men who desire personal growth and change. Referrals and Information: Please call us for information about domestic and sexual violence and prevention services or to attain a referral to another community of government agency.

Sexual Assault: If you or a loved one have been affected by sexual assault, please contact our advocates for assistance and information.

 

Stalking, Cyber Stalking, Harassment: If you or a loved one believe you are being stalked, or are being harassed, please contact our advocates for assistance and information.

Survivor-Centered Economic Advocacy: Financial abuse effects about 99% of all domestic violence cases. We will provide economic justice- an inter-sectional approach to supporting with meeting a range of economic needs that may arise because of and/or in tandem with domestic and sexual violence. Our project will assist survivors with economic advocacy and literacy.
