DONATIONS

Since the inception of Coastal Women’s Shelter, most of our funding has come from government grants or foundations, however, we are seeing much of that support being cut year after year. Therefore, we urgently need your help to serve our clients. Their needs are varied and many times they are challenged financially. They come to us in need of relocation assistance; fees to apply for childcare assistance; gas money, money to pay for medical bills; and money for legal expenses. Every person who can leave an abuser deserves the best chance possible to create a successful life. Domestic and sexual violence lives in secrecy. Survivors of domestic and sexual violence are our neighbors, our co-workers, your cousin, or the person you pass on the street. This is your opportunity to become a partner in delivering Coastal Women’s Shelter’s mission. Donations are now accepted at the main office Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for the pantry, cleaning supplies and laundry detergent, paper products, and personal care items.

Clothing donations are made at the CWS Helping Hands Boutique Thrift Store by making a donation appointment on Friday by calling the store 252.633.6305.
